蔦屋重三郎の「松の調」（えほんまつのしらべ）は、江戸時代に版元として活躍した蔦屋重三郎が描いた絵本の一つです。狂歌が爆発的な人気を博した天明期（1781～89年）に編集されました。

蔦屋重三郎は、永久出版業者に留まらず、自らも狂歌師「蔦唐丸」として活動し、大田南畝や喜多川歌麿といった当時の才能を見出し、世に送り出した「江戸のメディア王」とも称される人物である。

「松の調」は、蔦重が取り組んだ多様なジャンルの出版物の一つであり、当時の文化を反映した絵本として、その役割を果たしました。彼の出版物は、歌麿の美人大首絵や写楽の役者絵など、浮世絵の発展にも大きく貢献しました。

"Ehons Matsu no Shirabe" (Picture Book: The Tone of Pines) is a picture book created by Tsutaya Juzaburo, a prominent publisher who was active during the Edo period in Japan. It was published during the Tenmei era (1781-1789), a period when Kyoka (comic tanka poetry) enjoyed immense popularity.

Tsutaya Juzaburo was more than just a publisher; he was also a Kyoka poet himself, going by the name "Tsuta no Maru." He discovered and promoted talents like Ota Nanpo and Kitagawa Utamaro, earning him the moniker "Media King of Edo."

"Ehons Matsu no Shirabe" is one of the many diverse publications Tsutaya Juzaburo handled, serving as a picture book that reflected the culture of its time. His publications significantly contributed to the development of Ukiyo-e, including Utamaro's "bijin ōkubi-e" (large-head pictures of beautiful women) and Sharaku's actor portraits.
