"Hinagata Wakana Hatsumoyo" is a large-scale series of Nishiki-e (brocade prints) published in the mid-to-late Edo period (An'ei to Tenmei eras). It's a representative work by Isoda Koryusai, serving as a kind of fashion magazine of its time, depicting the trendy kimonos and hairstyles of oiran (courtesans) and kamuro (young attendants) in Yoshiwara. With over 100 pieces, its vibrant depictions convey the culture of Edo.
